2024 U.S. and COLLEGIATE SNOWSHOE
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

February 9-11 - EAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin

The Collegiate Running Association is pleased to continue building upon existing partnerships with the United States Snowshoe Association (USSSA) and the American Trail Running Association (ATRA) to endorse the 4th Collegiate Snowshoe National Championship. With an interruption by COVID in 2021 this marks the fourth year the United States Snowshoe Association included the Collegiate Snowshoe National Championships.

The 2024 U.S. and Collegiate Snowshoe National Championship, along with the National Youth Snowshoe Racing Championships were held on February 9th-11th in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in Lowes Creek County Park. Racers from across the nation ascended to Wisconsin to compete.

In 2023 the United States Snowshoe Association (USSSA) entered a new chapter with new leadership following legendary USSSA Sports Director, Mark Elmore’s retirement and the start of an important partnership with the American Trail Running Association (ATRA). With ATRA’s support, USSSA continues building upon the success of the Collegiate and Junior (U20) National Championships. The future of snowshoe racing is bright!

This public event offered something for everyone, of all ages and abilities with college male and female athletes competing in a 5km race. The Collegiate Snowshoe National Championships featured a national collegiate division in the 5km (U20) and a collegiate team division with the top 5 in each division earning Collegiate Running Association All-America honors.

This event not only crowned national champions in the collegiate and youth divisions, the top finishers were selected to the USSSA National Team, earning berths on the 2024 U.S. National Snowshoe Teams making those athletes eligible to represent the USA in international snowshoe competition over the upcoming year.
