9:00AM- RVA XC Festival 6K Citizens Run
(This 9:00AM event is a citizens race open to the public and not a part of the USATF National Championship Races)
9:45AM- 400M Kids Run (10 and Under) (400M run over the final part of the race course)
10:25AM- National Anthem
10:30AM- USATF Championship (Master's Women)
11:30AM- USATF Championship (Master's Men)
12:30PM- USATF Championship (U20 Women)
1:15PM- USATF Championship (u20 Men)
2:00PM- USATF Championship (Open Women)
2:50PM- USATF Championship (Open Men)
The 2024 Richmond XC Festival will host the USATF National Cross Country Championships. The Citizens Race Distance will be 6K (Women and Men). The event will utilize the same 2K loop course used for the 2023 and 2024 USATF National Cross Country Championships (which follow the citizens run in 2024). This 2K loop format will provide an opportunity for spectators, coaches and athletes to run the same course as the top distance runners in the USA. Stick around after and enjoy the food trucks, the festive atmosphere and watch the athletes earn a spot on Team USA for the 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships to be held in Croatia in early February. Come cheer for your favorites and get some autographs while you enjoy cross country running at its best!
EVENT DETAILS:
This event (Richmond XC Festival, formerly the Pole Green Park 5K) will serve as the USATF-Virginia Association Open, Masters, and Junior (U20) Championship and will be held concurrently with the Spider Alumni Open College Races.
Open runners and 2023 USATF-Virginia members will be split-out into separate results (Open Run/Walk and Richmond XC Festival results) and will not be part of the college races. Unattached runners, college club, open club and post collegiate runners will have their own results.
As part of your entry fee:
*NOTE 1: All participants in the Citizen’s 6K Run/Walk will receive a $10 food truck voucher in the finish chute, good for any of the on-site food trucks on race day. Vouchers void after race day (January 20, 2024).

ELIGIBILITY: This family friendly event is open to runners of all ages.
REGISTRATION: Online Registration for this event will open on July 1, 2023 and close Wednesday, January 15 at 3:00PM. The run is capped at 200 participants, so register early.
If the event does not fill (200 maximum entries) through the on-line registration, there will be Race Day Registration available between 8:00AM and 8:45AM for a fee of $40
ABOUT THE COURSE:
Home of the 2023 and 2024 U.S. Cross Country Championships...2008 USATF Junior Olympic XC National Championships, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships, the RVA Relays and the MILESTAT.COM XC Invitational. The course is flat terrain with mostly grass and dirt trail. Every mile is clearly marked. The course is set-up to be spectator friendly and will have two large HD Video Boards on-site for spectators.
