SATURDAY, JULY 25, 2020- WINCHESTER, VA

The Collegiate Running Association (CRA) and the Loudoun Street Mile brought the Collegiate Road Mile National Championship back to Winchester, VA.   The 2020 Loudoun Street Mile was postponed from May 25th due to COVID-19 and was held Saturday, July 25. Along with the Collegiate Road Mile Championships, the event also hosted the RRCA State Championships.

In 2020 race management made many changes to the race in order to comply with the current COVID regulations. The event became the first road race in the state of Virginia in nearly 4 months as the Commonwealth delt with the COVID19 pandemic. The 2nd annual Collegiate Road Mile Championships and RRCA Virginia State Championships were held within the race as participants from as far away as Australia descended on Winchester, and the race attracted the maximum 250 participants under the Virginia Department of Health COVID protocol.

The 2nd Collegiate Road Mile National Championship was a success and for the second consecutive year awarded $4,000 in total prize money with $1,700 specifically reserved for college students. The common start for the Collegiate Championship and Open Championship, provided an opportunity for eligible college students to win both collegiate and open prize money. Check eligibility requirements or send us an email message with questions.
